Conventions are the mechanics of writing . They fix what needs to be and, puts certain things in there proper place. Conventions are all about sturcture and once again , as with oraginization order. Organization puts your ideas in order, and Conventions put your sentences in the order in which they need to be to make sense. Properly placing words, or punctuations where they need to be is critical in the writing process because it brings the paper together and polishes the piece of writing.
I dont think people really know how important conventions are, not only in writing but in everyday life. Nowadays there have been quite a few modifications to the english language, because of the modern day. Things have changed over time , and now most people talk with slang, put words together that completly change the meaning of the word, and other forms of words that have yet to be added in the dictionary, that most people dont understand due to , age differences , or cultures.
This may not pertain to conventions, but the fact that cultures have a different way of putting words and punctuating them really does interest me. To know that you both may be from different cultures , speaking different languages, and placing words in a different order, but in the end are saying the same thing as far as in meaning is something that is mystifying.

6 + 1 Traits - Organization
What do you have without organization? Beautiful chaos. With my writing I can lack the skill of organization and get completly lost. One of the 6 + 1 Traits that I value is being organized with your writing. To be able to express your ideas to other people , they need to understand what you are talking about. Your thoughts can't be scattered when you actually write it all down. I dont think that you can write a great paper without organizing anything. There have been many times when my paper fell short because it was poorly organized. I feel there have been times when I've had great ideas but I dont now where to put them. For me I have to organize or I really have nothing to put dow into a constructed paper because i didn't know where to start due to my thoughts, and ideas being all over the place. Organizing definitely saves a lot of trouble in the end. You know what you want to write down to say and can produce an excellent paper.
Who Am I as a Writer?
As a writer I am someone who wants to write about everything that I experience. But being a technical writer that is something im not. I can write a decent esssay, or do well with any form of writing, but I tend to do better at writing freely. I basically write a lot of things down and organize them later. I sometimes can be very chaotic with my writing becasue I want to write so many things at one time that I get lost in every single idea I had in my mind.
When it comes to what I like to write about it can be very easy for me to figure out what that is. But most of the time my writing has to be inspired , becasue that way it seems more meaningful to me. I either write about what I have experienced or I write when I feel strongly about something. Writing is what I use when I desparately need to get my point across, because that way I can carefully choose my words, and when I use writing to do that it is more personal as well.
As a writer I have more than enough room for improvment, and in no way reluctant for help. I dont just want to be a good writer , I want to be a great writer.
